SEEK FIRST

Throughout history, situations have shifted and circumstances have changed when ordinary people have found their voice in prayer. This is a moment for us to join with others from across the world in seeking God and contending for His Kingdom to break out.

At Seek First, we create a space in our regular church rhythms for two things:‬

  1. We‬‭ worship‬‭ God because he is worthy‬

  2. We‬‭ pray‬‭ and intercede for what we sense is on God’s‬‭ heart‬

SEEK FIRST ON MONDAYS

Evenings of Prayer and Worship
7.30 - 9.00pm · Mondays · King’s House

On Monday evenings during the term, we gather to pray and contend for God’s kingdom to break out on earth as it is in heaven. Everyone is welcome, and we’d love to see you there.

The History Of Seek First‭

In the early days of KXC, Seek First began as a monthly worship and prayer night. But as we‬ emerged from the disorientation of Covid, members of our team, Emma and Phil, felt a fresh‬‭ stirring to make it a weekly rhythm. Over the past few years, we've witnessed a beautiful‬‭ deepening of the culture of worship and prayer in our community. Seek First, and King’s House‬‭ more broadly, have become both a‬‭ safe haven‬‭ for God’s‬‭ people and a‬‭ stronghold‬‭ for His‬‭ Kingdom here in King’s Cross. Seek First is like a furnace, a place where white-hot faith is‬‭ forged, and strength in prayer is formed. As we continue to tend this fire, we want to stay‬‭ committed to being‬‭ simple and steadfast‬‭,‬‭ sustainable‬‭ in surrender‬‭ and‬‭ seriously joyful‬‭!

Capturing the sound of a community seeking God together, the album reflects a community marked by worship and unified in prayer.

Featuring songs from the previously released Worthy Is the Lord EP (I Believe,The Lord Is Here), a new version of Do It Again Lord and an extended version of Don’t Pass Me By - moving from a personal prayer for healing into passionate intercession.
