MISSION AT KXC
At KXC we want to partner with God’s mission to make all things new. We believe the Kingdom of God is not a far-off destination but the reality of heaven breaking into our world. Therefore as followers of Jesus, we want to be carriers of God's presence in our everyday lives, bringing the future hope of God’s promise to the people of King’s Cross and beyond.
Therefore, Mission at KXC means being sent out into our neighbourhoods, workplaces, and city, proclaiming and demonstrating the love of Jesus. Practically, we do this through the practices of Witness, Service, and Hospitality.
Together, these rhythms help shape us to become more like Jesus, establishing tangible signs of his coming Kingdom, joining in where God is already at work to bring welcome, hope, and belonging to our city.
As part of our mission we are committed to caring for the vulnerable in our community. Through partnerships with local organisations or through our own initiatives, we serve individuals and families facing hardship with dignity, compassion, and practical support.
-
In our Witness, we want to be people of Good News in a culture of despair by sharing Jesus with those we meet.
-
Through Service, we want to be people of mercy and compassion in a culture of injustice and division by serving the most vulnerable in our society.
-
Through Hospitality we want to be people of kindness in a culture of hostility by extending God’s welcome through opening our lives to those outside our usual circles.

MISSION INITATIVES
Alpha is a space to unpack the basics of the Christian faith together and for people who are not sure about faith, but curious to find out more. There’s no pressure, no judgement, just open conversation over some good food. That’s it. Each session kicks off with some time to connect and eat together. This is followed by a talk or a video. Each talk is designed to spark conversation and unpack a different question where individuals can share thoughts and questions.
At KXC, we love football and think it's a great way to build relationships, break down barriers, and share the love of Jesus in everyday life. Throughout the week, we run multiple football groups. These football communities are vehicles for mission, offering belonging, dignity, and the chance to encounter Jesus in a natural and welcoming environment.
Based out of King’s House, our church space, King’s House Coffee is an evangelistic initiative of KXC. As a way to welcome the people of King’s Cross, King’s House Coffee is open to all every Monday - Friday, 7.30am-11.00am. It’s a space to enjoy great espresso-based coffees and high-quality pastries, with the opportunity to get connected to the life of our community at KXC. More than just a coffee shop, King’s House Coffee exists to create opportunities for conversation, hospitality and sharing the hope of Jesus with those who visit.
Formed around mission, seeking to build relationships beyond the KXC family, and be places of invitation into the church. There’s plenty of space to get creative around a shared activity or way of reaching out to the community.
GLOBAL MISSION
God's heart is for the world and we want to embody His love by seeing all things made new in Kings Cross and beyond. Global mission is a way we seek to give ourselves away beyond our city. We believe God invites all of us to participate in seeing all things made new whether here in our workplace or in the nations. In exploring global mission at KXC, we seek to engage with God's heart for the nations knowing His heart is for all to know Him.
A home in the heart of King’s Cross; a house of worship, community, justice and mission, gathering a number of KXC’s local mission projects and partners under one roof.
