How to be (un)successful – A conversation with Pete Portal & Pete Hughes

  • King's House 242 Pentonville Road London, England, N1 9JY United Kingdom (map)

“Am I doing enough? Am I on the right track?”

“When will I feel satisfied?”

“Does what I’m doing really matter?”

No matter what we achieve or how much we gain, ‘success’ can always feel out of reach. But what does success even mean?

We may know that true success is found in following the one who made us, not in money, power or influence. And yet, in our increasingly polarised and comparison-rife world, many of us find our hearts yearning for an ever-elusive ‘success’.

Drawing from over 10 years living in Manenberg and seeing the love and power of Jesus break into violent and addicted young lives, Pete Portal unpacks his new book ‘How to Be (Un)Successful’.

Join us on November 16th at Kings House as we host a conversation between Pete Hughes and Pete Portal inviting us to reorient our desires, learning to choose God’s plan over good ideas and relationships over relevance.
