Updated Wednesday 18 March 13.30pm
We've been closely monitoring guidelines and advice from Public Health England and the Church of England in regards to the coronavirus outbreak.
Based on the latest guidance, it's sadly no longer possible to gather together as we normally would, and so we have taken the decision to suspend all church gatherings and events until further notice.
We have been planning as a leadership team towards this eventuality, and want to let you know about some of the ways in which we're going to re-imagine what church looks like in this coming season.
We'll be live-streaming Sunday Services online at 10.30am and 4.30pm and will be encouraging everyone to join a Village Hub in your area of London, as we seek to be a community that gathers virtually and serves locally. Sign-ups for all of these Hubs will go live on Friday morning, and we'll be in touch with more details about how this is going to work in due course.
As a staff team, we've been meeting and worshipping together over Zoom Video Conferencing (which has been a new one for us!) as we put these plans in place. We really want to be doing everything we can to best support our congregation during this time, so if you have been impacted by the coronavirus in any way, and would like support or prayer, please get in touch at hello@kxc.org.uk.
Our vision as a church from day one has been to ‘recklessly give ourselves away to God, each other and the people of King’s Cross and beyond.’ Now is the time for us to step up and step in to living out this vision in a moment of uncertainty.
We'll be in touch with further details soon, but please be praying for the local and global situation, and particularly for those who are vulnerable and feeling anxious at this time. And above all, let’s pray that God would use this crisis as a vehicle to establish his kingdom amongst us!
Sending much love,
Pete and Bee (Lead Pastors)
Sunday Services
We're putting plans in place to live-stream Sunday Services online at 10.30am (for kids, young people and families) and at 4.30pm from this Sunday!
Village Hubs
We believe that Village Hubs will be the best vehicle for us serving one another and our communities right now and we don’t want anyone to feel disconnected. Sign-ups for all of these Village Hubs will go live on Friday morning at kxc.org.uk, and we'll be in touch with more details about how this is going to work in due course.
Reading the Bible together
We’re currently on a journey of reading the Scripture together, following the New Testament Bible Project plan and using a simple tool called BREAD. Please join us and get involved:
