Vision – Autumn term talks 2021

SUNDAY 19 SEPTEMBER 2021 | WHY CHURCH? - A Vision for Church

Pete Hughes kicks off our mini series, Why Church? A Vision for Church, unpacking the vision of a worldwide community of Jesus followers who are made in the image of God who exists in community.

SUNDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 2021 | WHY CHURCH? - 7 Convictions of KXC

If you want to inhabit a moment of uncertainty in a way that impacts the world, you need to do so with conviction. Here we take a look at 7 convictions, all beginning with C, that root KXC in this uncertain time. Courageous - Contextual - Contemplative - Compassionate - Communal - Charismatic - Contending. We have been looking at a vision for the church, this is how that vision plays out.

SUNDAY 03 OCTOBER 2021 | Climate Change is a Discipleship Issue

"The story you live in is the story you live out" is a classic KXC idiom. Anna Mason flips it on its head and asks, 'if the story we are living out is killing the planet, what exactly is the story we are living in?'. This sermon delivers a challenge to engage with climate change as a discipleship issue that is at the core of our Christian story.

SUNDAY 10 OCTOBER 2021 | Vision Sunday:Part 1

In 11 years our vision has grown but our roots have stayed the same. We are a church that recklessly gives itself away to God, each other, and the people of King's Cross. Over this two week mini-series, we are going to do three things... look back with gratitude; look forward with faith; act now with generosity. These talks will give you the foundation of what we are about and give you a vision of where we are going.
