SERVING GOD’S PURPOSE TO MAKE ALL THINGS NEW
We want to become a church that gives itself away to God, each other, and the people of King’s Cross and beyond, giving the best of what we have as a church and as individuals (in terms of time, energy and resources) in order to see King’s Cross, our workplaces, our universities and local neighbourhoods become all that God created and intended them to be. This feels like a key season for the church as we look to step into some of the things we feel God leading us to in the years ahead.
Thank you so much to everyone who has given and continues to give so generously to support the work of the church in King’s Cross and beyond. To make a one-off donation or to set-up a standing order click here.
We hope to become a church that plants other Kingdom-focused churches that are shaped by the story of scripture, following the way of Jesus, and led by the power of His spirit. In 2018 we aim to send out the first two of these church plants – East London, led by Tim and Lulu May, and St Peter’s Brockley, led by Ben and Hanelle Jones.
We aim to send each plant off with a team of 25 people, and £25,000 of financial support. We have been saving towards this, but would love to raise £25,000 in one-off gifts to send the plants off as well as we can.
Morning Service: New Venue
We launched a morning service in October 2016 and in that time we have grown from around 70 to 125 adults, plus children. We have reached capacity at Winton Primary School and would also love to improve accessibility for those with additional needs. Close to King’s Cross station, Regent High School has space for around 250 adults and lots of kids!
We move to Regent High School on 10 June 2018 and would like to invest around £10,000 in new equipment and to meet the increased rental costs of the larger venue.
KXC Apprenticeship Year (launching Sept 2018)
Apprenticing Jesus involves being with Him, becoming like Him, and practising doing the things he did. We want to provide an opportunity for those between the age of 18-30 to take a year out to develop foundations for life in these three areas.
We are hoping to raise £20,000 to help equip and support those considering church ministry, and to reduce their living costs for the year.
Future home + Compassion Centre
Part of recklessly giving ourselves away to the people of King’s Cross means creating a place where everyone can call home. A key part of this is establishing a Compassion Centre that brings together all of our compassion ministries. We would love to see this vision come to life, and so have begun saving towards a Compassion Centre and the wider vision of a future home in King’s Cross.
A venue has not yet been secured, but we’d like to start raising funds to be able to progress and future buildings as they become available. We would like to raise £100,000 towards our future home and Compassion Centre in the heart of King’s Cross.
